Headway raises Series D to expand access to in-network care

Today we are announcing a new round of funding led by partners who have been with us since the early days. It is a vote of confidence not in a growth chart, but in a thesis: that the hardest part of mental health care is not building another app — it is making the existing system work for the people already in it.

What the round is for

The money goes where the need is. We are expanding into states where in-network options are thinnest, investing in the operational work that gets providers credentialed faster, and continuing to build the infrastructure that lets a clinician spend their time with patients instead of with paperwork.

None of that is glamorous. All of it is the difference between a patient finding care this week and giving up. That is the work this round funds, and it is the work we are most proud of.
